1. Definition
A complete independent survey or survey is a primary data collection method by asking questions to each respondent. So it can be concluded that a survey is a method for collecting information from groups that represent a population: a large number of respondents.
2. Survey Purposes
- Collecting data is simple.
- Explain or explain (study a phenomenon).
- Presenting data from research objects,

3. Survey Benefits
- To obtain facts from existing symptoms.

4. Type-Type Of Survey
- Personal Survey. Survey conducted privately and not published.
- Omnibus Survey. Several short surveys are combined into a questionnaire and generally carried out on a regular basis.
- Advocacy Survey. Oversight to fight for a problem.
- Internal Poll. Self-administered poll.
In-House Poll. Interviews were conducted at the respondent's house.
- Quick Count. Information gathering activities regarding the election process and vote acquisition carried out by volunteers through direct observation at selected TPS.
- Exit Polls. Supervision is carried out immediately after voters leave the polling place (TPS).
5. Survey example
- Population Census. This survey was conducted by the Central Bureau of Statistics
- Community Satisfaction Survey. This survey is also called IKM (Community Satisfaction Index), which is held by institutions or organizations such as courts, pukesman, civil registry and others.
the results of a survey that I made about garbage disposal in the family which answered 27 people's questions showed that on the first question 100 (27 people) answered that 100 (27 people) at their house had a trash can in their house. from the second question shows that the majority of their homes 66.7 there is no garbage and 33.3 there is waste in their homes. from the third question shows that 72 garbage trucks pick up trash at their homes and 28 have no garbage trucks. from the fourth statement it shows that 88.9 at home they sort organic and inorganic waste and 11.1 do not sort organic and inorganic waste. and the last question shows that 66.7 they sell garbage at their home and 33.3 do not sell garbage at their home
