• Definition

Analytical text is a text that describes a phenomenon or problem comprehensively by using arguments that support the idea of ​​the text.


• Generic Stucture

- Thesis: the first part of the text is the thesis, which is an explanation of the topic of the problem and the author's opinion.

- Arguments: this section describes the arguments that support the author's opinion.

- Reiteration: the final part of the text is reiteration which is in the form of rewriting the thesis or opinion of the author.


• Purpose

An analytical exposition is a type of text in which the purpose is to persuade the audience by making an argument.


• Language Features

- The tenses used are the simple present tense.

- Arguments begin with firstly, secondly, thirdly, and so on.

- Phrases to end the text in the form of the facts above, therefore, and others.

- Usually this section begins with From the fact above…,Therefore…,Conclusion… ,and others.

thesis : Waste is residual material that is no longer wanted in a process, waste consists of organic and inorganic waste, while based on the shape of waste it is divided into solid, liquid, natural, consumption waste, etc. Unfortunately, humans often litter, usually influenced by several factors, namely facilities and infrastructure that are not available with a percentage of 63%, then a low education level of 57%, and lack of support from the village government in waste management.

argumen : Since ancient times, waste has been a major problem. Even now, trash has piled up everywhere. Just look at the environment and around us. Garbage can cause illness and psychological problems. The unpleasant smell of garbage enters the air which causes air pollution. Garbage makes the environment dirty and uncomfortable. Someone who lives in an environment with a lot of trash will find it difficult to focus and uncomfortable living. Just imagine smelling garbage every day. In addition, bacteria and germs from garbage will spread through the air that is smelled by humans. That's where the disease comes from.

conclusion : therefore we must dispose of waste in its place, and sort waste to avoid the risk of disease in the present and in the future. so make it a habit for us to dispose of trash in its place so that the environment in the family remains clean and comfortable
